February 7, 2014 Captain of the Storm

 It's "A" Week!

 Happy Birthday, Lydia!

We all had SO much energy this week,
we had to run for a minute before we could sit in our classes!

ART CLASS

Today, we used bubbles to make our "moon" and oil pastels to make the rest of our picture. Since Jesus was on a boat, that's what we're going to create today--a picture of a boat on a lake!

First, we blew bubbles into some colored soapy water.

Then we put our paper on the bubbles.

Next we colored diligently...

..and wa-lah!

MUSIC CLASS

We listened to the music...

...then drew what we thought it was about.

Musical chairs was fun!

SPANISH CLASS

Today, we learned about the Country of Columbia, by looking at artifacts and pictures....

...by learning that the blue in the Columbian flag is for the ocean....

...by looking at Columbian money...

...and by trying on a Columbian hat!

We also played a Columbian school-yard game that rhymed. Try to keep up!

Remember to bring your Spanish homework to co-op!

PRE-K
Brought to you by the number "1" and the letter "O"!

Pretty blue ribbons make waves, like in our Bible story!
